Angela is a Clinical Psychology Registrar, registered with AHPRA, and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Angela works with children, adolescents, adults and families across a range of mental health concerns.
She has experience working with clients in the areas of anxiety disorders, depression, health and illness anxiety, emotion regulation difficulties, behavioural issues, grief and loss, stress, interpersonal and relationship issues, family and parenting challenges and adjustment to life changes.
Angela has a particular interest in the link between physical and psychological health. She is passionate about helping people improve their well-being and quality of life. This includes supporting clients who are living with chronic health conditions such as Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, chronic pain, cardiovascular and metabolic conditions, sleep issues and other health challenges.
Angela is also able to conduct cognitive assessments to assist in diagnosis and management of specific learning disorders, ADHD, intellectual disability, and neurodevelopmental and neurocognitive issues.
Angela provides a safe, respectful, non-judgemental space for clients to explore and better understand their mental health concerns. She works collaboratively with her clients to establish treatment goals and utilises evidence based therapies to tailor individualised treatment plans. Angela draws on a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT); Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Attachment-based interventions; Family Systems Therapy; Solutions Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT); and Brief Psychodynamic Therapy.
Angela has a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology and has accumulated diverse skills and knowledge from working in various roles within the health sector.
