Jamie graduated in medicine from the University of Tasmania and completed rotations at hospitals in Melbourne. He spent a number of years in the permanent forces of the Royal Australian Navy before returning to study. completing his Diploma in Obstetrics in 1990. Jamie spent 12 years in general practice, mostly as a GP obstetrician. For the past 18 years, Jamie has worked at Cabrini in various roles. He established the staff clinic at Cabrini Malvern in 1999 and has regularly assisted on surgeries. In late 2005, Jamie was asked to develop a hospital-in-the-home unit. He was actively involved in undergraduate student teaching and has held executive positions with the Hospital in the Home Society of Australasia. More recently he helped set up Cabrini’s first general practice in Caulfield South.
