Periodontal disease is a destructive, progressive process causing the loss of attachment and support of the surrounding tissues of the teeth. As a dental hygienist, my role is to treat these areas by removing the calculus and bacteria contributing to the disease progression. I am qualified to treat periodontal pockets of up to 5mm.

Dr Kerrisk and I adopt a team approach to stabilise and maintain periodontal health, with Dr Kerrisk treating the pockets of 6mm or deeper.
