Steve Phillips has been a GP on the Sunshine Coast for more than 30 years, having undertaken his medical studies at the University of Queensland.

He has clinical experience across the broad range of general practice and particular interests in wise use of medicines, complex and chronic conditions, skin cancer, palliative care, vasectomy and preventive care. He is an Accredited GP Anaesthetist 

Steve believes strongly in the value of effective therapeutic partnerships between healthcare professionals and patients, in supporting professional standards and high quality clinical care.

He maintains involvement with a number of professional and government committees in the interests of staying informed and contributing to improvements in Australia’s healthcare systems.

Running, cycling, golf and gardening are his main recreational interests and he enjoys travel and catching up with his adult family who are now spread in many directions.
