Weekday appointments are $100 for a full body scan and with a Pension Card Concession the rate is reduced to $75, Medicare will provide a rebate of $37.60. Saturday Appointments are $120.00 and we do require 3 days’ notice to cancel Saturday appointments.

Molescan Equipment – Computerised Dermoscopy

The Molescan system for very early detection of melanoma and skin cancer utilises the latest proven medical expertise and computerised skin scanning technology.

Each Molescan doctor is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art computerised technology for scanning moles and skin lesions, assisting the doctors to make a more accurate diagnosis. This digital epiluminescence light microscopy magnifies and photographs each mole and lesion beneath the skin 30 to 100 times. The images are then stored for future comparison if necessary.

Computerised dermoscopy is becoming a recognised international standard of care for skin cancer detection and prevention, and the results achieved are much more superior to traditional hand held dermoscopy.

Doctors working in Molescan clinics are fully trained and qualified in the use of this equipment. The Molescan system is a vital tool for the very early detection of melanoma and other tumors of the skin. The Molescan process includes your personal medical history, a clinical examination and digital epiluminescence light microscopy examination of all skin lesions.
