Dr Debra Bycroft has endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist and Forensic Psychologist with AHPRA, is an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society, and a Clinical Member of the Australian Association of Family Therapists Inc. (AAFT).

Debra obtained her undergraduate degree at Curtin University and worked as a registered psychologist from 2010. She then completed a Doctor of Psychology (Clinical and Forensic) at Edith Cowan University in 2020. She has worked in the private and public sectors and has experience working with couples, families, adolescents, children, and adults.

Her career started in Human Resources working within the private and government sectors. This experience is supported by a Master of Applied Psychology (Organisational). Her experience working in organisations means she understands and can assist with coping with office politics, the challenges of work-related stress, interpersonal issues at work, and career transitions.

Debra has experience working with couples and families in crises, this area of interest is supported by a Graduate Diploma of Relationship Counselling. Debra has experience working with adults and children in the following areas:

• Parenting issues

Debra has a non-judgemental honest approach to counselling and enjoys helping clients develop skills, so they are better able to manage life’s challenges. Drawing from a systemic approach and using evidence-based approaches she enjoys working collaboratively with clients. These include:

Appointment duration:  51 minutes

Sessions rates:

Individuals: $280 per appointment

Couples: $300 per appointment

Family Counselling: $310 per appointment

Please note: Debra does not accept appointments for children under the age of 14 years old.

Medicare rebate is available with a Valid Referral and accompanying Mental Health Care Plan for individual appointments only.

Cancellation Policy: Appointments are precious and we appreciate you giving at least 48 hours’ notice if you cannot attend. 50% of the session fee will be charged inside of 48 hours notice with 24 hours notice or less 100% of the session fee will be charged.
