About Alison

Alison is a Registered Psychologist supporting adults, adolescents (and parents of adolescents) experiencing emotional, relational and life challenges. She works with anxiety, low mood, stress, emotional regulation, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, life transitions and personal growth.

Alison takes a psychologically informed and individualised approach, with a particular interest in understanding the patterns that influence how people experience themselves, their emotions and their relationships. She works collaboratively with clients to develop insight, build more effective ways of responding and make changes that are meaningful to them.

Her therapeutic approach draws on CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy and Gottman-informed approaches, integrating these according to each client's needs and goals.

Alongside her private practice, Alison has extensive experience as a School Psychologist, bringing additional expertise in adolescent development, emotional regulation, learning and neurodiversity. Her professional background also includes research in emotion regulation, with her work published in Australian Psychologist.
