Shannon McQuade

Shannon is a registered Psychologist with AHPRA and is currently completing the clinical psychology registrar program. She has a passion for empowering clients to overcome their life challenges through evidence-based and client-centred practice. She believes in providing a warm, genuine and compassionate environment to enable each of her clients to feel supported in meeting their therapy goals.

Shannon offers a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. She is interested in working collaboratively with young people and adults who experience a range of mental health concerns.

Shannon completed her Master of Clinical Psychology from Griffith University in Queensland. She worked within the University clinic where she provided individual and group therapy to individuals across the lifespan with varying presentations, including anxiety, depression, behavioural challenges and emotion regulation difficulties. She has also worked with young people who were sentenced in court for offence-related matters.

Shannon has also worked in private hospitals providing psychological support and coordinated both inpatient and outpatient eating disorder programs.

Shannon works with adolescents (clients aged 15 + years) and adults.
