Overview
Sahar is a registered General Psychologist and a member of Australian Psychological Society (APS). She holds a Bachelor of Psychology (University of Western Sydney, 2013). Sahar has worked in a various settings including schools, correctional facilities and in private clinical practice.
Sahar works closely with adolescents and adults of various clinical presentations including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, panic disorder, phobias, trauma, stress and self-esteem. She has particular interests in anxiety and human behaviour. Sahar adopts a client centred approach, ensuring intervention is tailored to individual client needs to support emotional health and wellbeing and to ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved. Sahar grounds her work in counselling and clinical evidence-based interventions using models of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, motivational interviewing and relaxation strategies.
Sahar is also SIRA accredited, working with clients under worker’s compensation and CTP claims. She is also a Work and Development Order (WDO) sponsor under Revenue NSW.
