With over 15 years experience working with children, adolescents, adults and couples, Dr Anita Blakeley-Smith enjoys her work immensely. 

At our practice Anita focusses on the areas of depression and various anxiety disorders, self-esteem problems, personality disorders and relationship issues. Her aim is to treat each client as a unique individual with their own unique biology, personal history, strengths and areas for change and as such assessments involves a collaborative approach to provide a unique program of evidence based intervention. She also has particular expertise in the treatment of Complex Major Mental Illness. 

She has training and experience in the provision of evidence based treatments such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, mindfulness based interventions such as, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DVT), and Emotionally Focussed Couples Therapy (EFT). She is also trained in the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) designed to assist parents their children’s behavioural issues. 

Anita enjoys spending time with her family and loves being integrated with various community organisations.
