Overview

Jamie graduated with honours from QUT, Brisbane, in 2011. His last eleven years have been spread across private practice, doctors clinics, rural health centres, and multidisciplinary clinics alongside physiotherapists, osteopaths and exercise physiologists.

This experience has seen him develop a broad range of skills in diagnosing and treating all aspects of the foot and lower limb. Areas of interest include; foot and lower leg pain, sports injuries, paediatric assessments (children) and orthotic therapy. Further areas of expertise include diabetic foot assessments as well as skin and nail complaints.

Jamie’s junior elite soccer background has enabled him to understand the importance of injury prevention and pain-free exercise. This passion has driven his interest in the field of biomechanics and sports podiatry. It is his goal to see patients returning to the activities they love as soon as possible, as keeping the body moving is vital for overall physical and mental health.

Ongoing education and training has kept Jamie up to date with the latest research and journals, as well as learning foot mobilisation techniques (FMT). FMT is a hands-on treatment option that consists of controlled joint movements to stretch, bend, and extend parts of your foot. FMT involves gently repositioning the bones in your feet by loosening the ligaments between the joints, to allow bones to be re-set in their optimal position. This technique works for a variety of foot and ankle problems, including long term ankle injuries, ankle instability, arthritis, midfoot pain, and bunion pain.

Outside of work, Jamie and his family live an active lifestyle of outdoor adventures, including; kayaking, camping, hiking and surfing.
