Dr Timothy Hewitt MBBS Hons FRACS is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. Tim studied at the University of Western Australia, graduating with Honours in 1996. His internship, residency and early registrar years were at Sir Charles Gairdner and Royal Perth Hospitals. He subsequently entered the Western Australian Plastic Surgery Training programme. After completing his Plastic Surgery training in Perth, Tim was appointed the Royal Australasian CranioMaxillofacial Fellow and left Perth to undertake his subspecialty training.

Tim worked in the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Women’s and Children’s Hospital and the Australian Craniofacial Unit in Adelaide as the Craniofacial Fellow. He subsequently travelled to Gothenburg, Sweden and worked at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, as the Craniofacial Fellow with Professor Claes Lauritzen. He worked during his time in Sweden with Professor Lauritzen as the Cosmetic Surgery Fellow in Specialist Kliniken, Gothenburg. The Sahlgrenska Craniofacial Unit in Gothenburg is a world renowned centre for the treatment of Craniofacial conditions, and in particular the use of Craniofacial Springs for Craniosynostosis. Specialist Kliniken is a busy Private Cosmetic Surgery clinic, well known in Sweden and Europe as a leading centre for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Tim then worked as a Plastic Surgery and Craniofacial Fellow in the Lower Hutt Hospital Plastic Surgery Unit, Wellington New Zealand. This unit has extensive experience in head and neck reconstruction, craniofacial surgery and vascular anomalies.
