Overview

I believe in finding the best treatments for my clients.

I believe to be the best, you have to be on the edge of innovation.

I believe in hands-on treatment.

I believe in exercise rehabilitation.

I believe in treating the hardware (tissue) and the software (brain) for the ultimate human upgrade.

I believe in taking the time to understand, but racing to get the desired outcome.

And I believe my clients should fire me when they don’t need me.

I began my physiotherapy career working in aged care part-time while co-founding a tech startup. Physio simply paid the bills in the beginning allowing me to focus my energies on a different problem. During the final year of the startups life I slowly began to shift my focus towards acute injury management, serving Rio Tinto—one of the world's leading mining corporations. The week prior to beginning my role there I hurt my back during a deadlifting incident. The first week of work onsite I was having to hide my discomfort and brace against the pain of moving between sitting and standing. Understandably low back injuries became a focus for me - so I developed my own rehab and treatment protocol to help get me right for work - and it worked.

The next ~11 months I worked on the mines as a physio, I was exposed to a large number of low back, neck, and elbow pain cases which helped to refine my understanding and treatment protocol.

After this I went to Europe with a one-way ticket in an attempt to reconcile the failure of my startup and what I should do next in my life. After 6-weeks of cafe hoping I suddenly began thinking about the kind of private practice I could build. The types of people I could help, the exciting future of health optimisation and necessary evolution of the healthcare landscape. I decided to go all-in on being not just a physio, but a healer.

When I came back I began figuring out how to create the ultimate physio experience. I knew being hands-on was important to me - especially having been able to learn from my father who’s been doing manual therapy for over 40+ years. Here is some of what I’ve learnt to provide my clients with world class assessment and treatment from renowned practitioners: - muscle scraping (Kinetic Therapy developed by Ste Keaton) for fascial adhesions, - trigger point dry needling to address trigger points (Developed by Rob De Nardis)- square1 system for organising the nervous system. (Developed by Shawn Sherman)- active release techniques for removing specific adhesions around nerves. (Taught by Tim Edwards)

A little about me, I have a passion for mixed martial arts (MMA) and health optimisation. I rowed in the 1st crew for Scotch College, Competed in Nationals for surf boat rowing under 19’s and have run a 50km Ultra Marathon. I understand the demands of high-performance sports (at least to some degree) and the importance of maintaining peak physical condition. This is why I design treatment and rehabilitation programs that not only address specific injuries but also enhance overall performance and resilience. I try to live by the principles I preach, and embody the knowledge I’ve gained.

Health optimisation is at the core of my practice. I believe that true wellness is achieved by looking beyond immediate symptoms to the underlying factors contributing to physical health. This holistic perspective drives me to explore and integrate various aspects of health and fitness into personalised care plans for my clients. There is so much that can be done to develop a new standardised system of care for people’s health and wellness… and I aim to be at the forefront.
