Overview
Matthew graduated from Curtin University in 2011, and has over 10 years’ experience in private practice Physiotherapy.
Matt has completed extra training in the treatment and management of vestibular conditions, such as vertigo. He understands how debilitating vertigo can be and makes it a priority to treat is as quickly and effectively as possible. He believes an understanding of the condition is paramount to managing it correctly. Matt knows how awful vertigo can be and is always happy to fit a patient with vertigo in, even if it means staying late.
Matt treats all sorts of musculoskeletal injuries, and aside from vertigo, has a special interest in treating headaches and migraines, issues related to the neck, sports injuries, and issues related to aging and balance. He prefers to determine the underlying cause of any problem and address it at its source, taking the time to work with his patients on understanding the issue, and coming up with a plan of action.
Matthew also has a passion for working with younger patients living with autism spectrum disorder, general anxiety, Asperger’s, ADHD, and other common issues facing our younger generation. Matt finds it very rewarding to build a rapport with these patients, as he knows the importance of trust and comfort between therapist and patient.
Outside of Physiotherapy, Matt is a big fan of AFL (West Coast), the Premier League (Liverpool), and many other sports, and is also a passionate fan of video games and nerd culture, going so far as to have been ranked in WA for Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
