Benn has over 20 years experience working in private practice and has completed his Sports Physiotherapy qualification in 2013.
Benn worked as a Commonwealth physio at the 2018 Gold Coast Games and was a full time at AFL Melbourne Football Club from 2009-11 and part time at St. Kilda Football Club 2007-08 and had recently returned to NAB League team Dandenong Stingrays as head physiotherapist in 2020.
Benn was a high level football and cricketer himself, and recovered from 2 ACL knee reconstructions to become Eastern Football League's Division 1 Best Player in 2004. Benn continues to update his knowledge in the sports field with ongoing professional development and is the pioneer behind Chelsea Longbeach Physiotherapy, Sports Injury Prevention Screening program.
