Dr Allan Wang - Subiaco

Allan and his team take pride in providing a friendly and helpful service, and personalised care to each patient.

We have consulting rooms at St John of God Subiaco and St John of God Murdoch.

We operate at St John of God Subiaco, St John of God Murdoch and Hollywood Private Hospital.

Special interests are:

1. Arthroscopic and open reconstruction for shoulder rotator cuff tendon tears
2. Arthroscopic shoulder decompression for work or sports injuries
3. Arthroscopic and Latarjet reconstruction for shoulder joint dislocation
4. Shoulder arthritis, and total shoulder joint replacement (anatomic and reverse design), using computer navigation
5. Tennis elbow and arthroscopic elbow surgery
6. Carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel decompression
7. Arthroscopic and arthroplasty surgery of the hand and wrist

Completing a PhD in 1998, Allan continues to be activiely involved with research and teaching. He is a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UWA, and University of Notre Dame.

Recent Professional service roles includes:

• Past President of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia (2016-2018) and
• Past Scientific Secretary of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (2012-2015)

Allan has supervised an accredited Fellowship in Shoulder suregry for many years and Allan believes research and teaching activity leads to best clinical practice. He frequently attends national and international meetings to lecture and learn from colleagues. In doing so, Allan can remain current with new developments in shoulder surgery and can offer the latest techniques and treatment options to his patients.
