Ben completed his Bachelor in Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery Degree at Sydney University in 1990.
He worked as an Intern, Resident and Registrar in a Perth Based Hospitals from 1990-1994 before completing a year as an Orthopaedic Registrar in the United Kingdom. He returned to Perth to train in Orthopaedic Surgery from 1996-2001 before admission to the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 2002.
He has a Fellowship in Hand & Upper Limb Surgery achieved in 2002 and has worked at both Royal Perth Hospital and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital from 2002 until 2008 as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon doing both elective and trauma at each hospital.
He has been in Private Practice since 2002 and has 15 years of experience with both trauma and elective surgery.
Ben continues to have appointments at the Mount Hospital, Hollywood Private Hospital, Armadale Health Service and St John of God Day Surgery Centre.
Ben specialises in all aspects of joint replacement surgery including hip(anterior approach), knee, ankle, shoulder and elbow replacements, arthroscopic shoulder and upper limb surgery including wrist surgery, all aspects of trauma surgery and reconstructive surgery of the knee.
Referrals can be for both public and private patients with public appointment through the Armadale Health Service. Private patients are mainly operated through the Mount Hospital.
He is a No Gap Provider with all major health funds and can manage patients with workers' compensation work related injuries and motor vehicle related injuries with extensive experience in both these areas.
