Dr Timothy Steel is a leading neurosurgeon and spine surgeon in Sydney with more than 18 years experience as a consultant neurosurgeon. He underwent 10 years of surgical training after his internship at some of the finest hospitals in Australia, the United States of America and England. Much of his time as a neurosurgeon has been spent at the leading edge of spine surgery in Australia, helping people attain a better quality of life. His meticulous approach to surgery and specialised individual patient care has established his international reputation.

 

Dr Steel has performed more than 7,000 minimally invasive neurosurgical spinal operations, more than 2,000 complex spine instrumentation operations and has performed more than 2,000 brain surgeries to date. He was the first surgeon in the world to perform ultra short segment fusion surgery for unstable spine fractures.

 

Dr Steel is renowned for his commitment to achieving optimal outcomes for his patients and his meticulous approach to surgery. His highly refined approach to individual patient care helps ensure that each patient achieves their optimal outcome from their surgery. He has now performed more than 2000 brain surgery procedures, 7000 Minimally Invasive spine procedures and more than 2000 complex spine procedures such as disc replacement and fusion surgeries. He continues to incorporate new technologies and procedures into his practice only when he is certain of their benefit to his patients.

 

We are located in suite 1405, level 14 of the St Vincents Private Hospital at 406 Victoria Street, Darlinghurst. There is parking available at the hospital, and for those using public transport there are a number of bus stops nearby.
