Kelso Medical Group is now a mixed billing practice and we will NO LONGER Bulk Bill patients who do not hold relevant concession cards.

Pensioners, DVA, Patients over the age of 75 along and patients aged 15 and under will continue to be bulk billed.

Healthcare card holders will receive a $10 discount on consultations fees, payable on the day of consult.

Phone consults for non-concession card holders and healthcare card holders will attract a private fee.

Billing Policy - Out of Pocket Fees

1. Mirena/Implanon/Iron Infusions will attract an out of pocket fee

2. New Medical Cannabis patients will incur a $200 registration fee (Non-refundable from Medicare)

. All children 15 and under will be bulk billed.

5. All missed standard appointments will incur a $50 fee (non-refundable from Medicare)

All fees are payable on day of service.

Kelso Medical Group is a well-established general practice, and we are well respected in our local community. The practice was started by Dr Kerr in 1897 at "Kelso" House in South Terrace Fremantle and it was this building which gave rise to the practice name. Over the years there have been many Principals in the practice including Dr Bean, Dr Ebell, Dr Hodder, Dr Reid, Dr Gherardi, Dr Jones who joined the practice in 1976 and Dr Ukalovich who joined in 1989. In 1967 Dr Reid started a branch practice in the Coolbellup Shopping Centre and in 1987 Dr Jones opened the Kardinya branch at the Commercial Centre.

To protect your identity here at Kelso Medical Group, we wish to remind new patients that PHOTO I.D and MEDICARE CARDS for each patient MUST be presented during your registration process. If these documents cannot be produced, then alternative arrangements may have to be made.

Our fees are based on the time and degree of complexity of each consultation. Some procedures or reports may incur an additional charge which do not attract a rebate. We are a mixed billing practice.

New patients will require a longer consultation so that we can collect medical history and discuss any ongoing health issues to provide the best possible care.
