At Sydenham Medical Centre, we pride ourselves in providing quality medical care with a strong team of caring doctors, experienced nursing staff, and dedicated receptionists. Having been operating since 1984, we are a well-established, yet modern and family-friendly medical practice.

We are a multidisciplinary practice with a team of 13 GPs, including 9 male GPs and 4 female GPs. We offer comprehensive, family-friendly care across a range of medical services, including:

• General consultations

• Men’s and women’s health

• Children's health

• Skin checks

• Mental health

• Travel medicine

• Sexual health

• Minor surgery

• Work Cover and TAC assessments

• Immunisations.

We also offer a range of allied health services, including podiatry, dietetics, psychology, and naturopathy. Melbourne Pathology also operate onsite to offer pathology collection services for our patients.

As a mixed billing practice, we offer bulk billing to all patients holding a valid Medicare card except for the very first visit to our practice which is charged privately. Our fees are $60 for a standard consultation and $80 for a long consultation, with a Medicare rebate of $37.05 and $71.70, respectively. Returning patients covered by Medicare are bulk billed, meaning there is no out-of-pocket cost for most general consultations. Please note that Work Cover and TAC consultations have different fees. Our location is ideal for those who live or work in Sydenham and surrounding suburbs, including Hillside, Calder Park, Taylors Lakes, Keilor Downs, Delahey, and Taylors Hill. We are located close to public transport and have ample parking available onsite. Our comfortable waiting room includes a kid’s play area and we have a Chemart Pharmacy in the building which is open 7 days a week.

Appointments are available 7 days a week, with after hours appointments available every week day. Specifically, our opening hours are 8am to 11pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Saturday, and 9am to 3pm Sundays and public holidays.
