Wednesdays 9:30am-3:00pm
Appointments can be arranged outside of these hours via telephone appointment.
On Tuesdays & Thursdays, Dr Cann conducts aviation medicals at Essendon airport.
Afterhours care:
After hours medical care is provided by the Home Visiting Doctor service.
Appointments can be made from 4 pm weekdays, 12pm Saturday’s and all day on Sunday’s and public holidays.
Consultations are bulk billed by the home visiting doctor service.
A report will be sent back to the WilkStreet Medical Practice to ensure continuity of care and appropriate follow-up.

Consultation fees:
Wilks Street Medical Practice is a private billing practice and our fees are guided by AMA recommended rates
We offer a discounted fee for pensioners and health care card holders.
Bulk billing can be offered in the event of genuine financial hardship at the discretion of the doctor. Please discuss if you have need of this.
Medical consultations:
Standard consultation (5-20 minutes) $90, concession $70
Long consultation (20-40 minutes) $155, concession $115
Extra long consultation (40-60 minutes) $230, concession $180
Counselling (focussed psychological strategies) 40-60 minutes, $200, concession $150
If you are registered with Medicare you can receive an on the spot reimbursement if you have your Medicare card.
There will be an additional modest cost for dressings, bandages and suture materials when required.
Home visits can be arranged when necessary for regular patients of the practice
Standard length $150/conc.$100, long visit (20-40 mins) $200/conc.$155, extra long (>40 mins) $300/conc.$170
