Pioneer Medical Centre began in 1994 when Dr Peter Ford relocated his practice from Ridgehaven to Tea Tree Gully. We are a family friendly general practice focused on providing our patients with continuity of care and ongoing education for our practitioners. We are an accredited training practice for Registrars, medical students and nursing students.

We are a private billing practice and fees are payable at the time of your consultation. Our fees are $102.00 for a standard consultation with a medicare rebate of $45.05. Discounts are available for concession card holders. Please note these fees are indicative only and may vary according to the requirements of your appointment.

Our location is ideal for residents of Tea Tree Gully and the surrounding suburbs, including Redwood Park, Surrey Downs, Banksia Park, Fairview Park, Houghton, Vista, Hope Valley and Ridgehaven. There are public transport services nearby, with a bus stop right at the front of the practice, and there is ample onsite parking available for those who prefer to drive.

Appointments are available 7 days a week with after hours appointments available on weekdays. Specifically, we are open from 8.30am to 7pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 6pm Friday and from 8.30am to 12pm on Saturday. Please note the practice is closed on Sunday and public holidays.

Some of our GPs are not currently offering online bookings due to high demand on their appointments. All GPs located at Pioneer Medical Centre see patient care as a team responsibility, sharing patient notes and ensuring continuity of care. If you attend a GP who is not your regular GP, they will be able to access your past health information and coordinate your care with your regular GP.
