Patients with Medicare cards (usually Australian residents) will have no out-of-pocket costs for standard appointments with Bulk Billing GPs in most cases, as it will be billed directly to Medicare.
Welcome to Biggera Waters Family Practice, a modern, bulk billing, family friendly practice with experienced doctors and friendly staff. We are a well established, GPA Plus accredited practice and have been proudly operating since 2006.
Biggera Waters Family Practice (BWFP) is situated in a very busy northern area of Gold Coast opposite the “Metro Shopping Centre” on Hollywell Road, Biggera Waters. Our opening hours are 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday. We are ideally located for residents of Biggera Waters and surrounding areas including Labrador, Arundel, Parkwood, Runaway Bay, Paradise Point, Parkwood, Helensvale, Coombabah, Maudsland and Moondarra.
We offer a range of high quality general practice services, including:
- Travel medicine & vaccination
- Skin cancer screening and treatment of complicated skin cancers (no need for referral)
- Work Cover injuries, treatment, management & report
- Pre-Employment & Mines Health assessment & report
- Private & Commercial Driver Licence Assessment
- Men’s health
- Women's Health including Pap smear, antenatal care, Implanon insertion & removal
- Children's health including immunisation, growth and general health review
- Elderly Health assessment
- GP mental care plan & referral to psychologists & psychiatrists
- GP Care Plan & team Care Plan for those patients who suffer from chronic medical conditions like diabetes, asthma, malignancy, COAD, MSK injuries
- Hearing assessment and arranged hearing aids that is run by Australian Hearing
- Asthma action plan and assessment including spirometry and education by nurse
- Aesthetic Medicine including skin crease injection, filler by very experienced & qualified doctors using the latest technology such as Radio Frequency (RF), Pelleve & Micro needling at an affordable price (this treatment is not covered by Medicare Australia).
- Cardiologist - Dr Prasad Gunruwan (bulk billing with a valid referral from your GP)
- Physician - Dr Talib Al-Jumaily (special interest in endocrinology - Thyroid disease, diabetes and hormonal imbalances)
- Podiatrist - Ms Angelica Berkley - on site every Saturday (bulk billing)
- Physiotherapist - Mr Morgan Pratt - on site every Tuesday (bulk billing)
- Dietitian - Miss Genevieve Kita - on site every Saturday
- Medlab Pathology - weekdays 8am to 4pm & Saturdays 8am to 12pm (bulk billing)
