At Wilberforce Medical Practice we aim to provide the best standard of care to our patients. The Practice has been in existence for almost 30 years and has a very loyal local patient base.

WILBERFORCE MEDICAL PRACTICE IS NOW A MEDICARE BULK BILLING PRACTICE from 1st November 2025

This means that all Medicare eligible patients will be bulk billed for eligible services provided under the Medicare program.

Wilberforce Medical Practice will bulk billing all eligible consultations.

Please note that each appointment will cover one medical issue per visit. If you have multiple concerns, we’re happy to book additional appointments to ensure each issue receives proper attention. We offer a limited number of same-day appointments for existing patients with urgent medical needs. Please call the practice if you require an urgent appointment.

Eligible Services

Eligible services covered under this policy include, but are not limited to:

● General Practitioner (GP) consultations

● Chronic condition management plans and reviews

● Mental health treatment plans

● Health assessments

Patient Responsibilities

To access bulk billed services, patients must:

● Present a valid Medicare card at the time of their appointment; and

● Ensure that the service being provided is eligible under the Medicare program.

Our commitment to bulk billing ensures that all Medicare-eligible patients receive high-quality

health care services without any out-of-pocket expenses for eligible services

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel less than 2 hours prior to your appointment or fail to attend, a $30 fee will be charged, and future appointment bookings will be restricted until payment is received.

Not attending or late notice to cancel an appointment impedes from offering the appointment for a patient in need.

Wilberforce Medical Practice is a comprehensive general practice, located at The Wilberforce Shopping Centre, 15 King Road, Wilberforce. There is ample parking at the shopping Centre, and for those using public transport there is a bus stop located nearby at Wilberforce Primary School for the 668 and 669, and there is also a bus stop on Wilberforce Road.

We understand busy lives and work commitments at Wilberforce Medical Practice and endeavor to keep waiting times to a minimum. For this reason, we strongly encourage patient to pre-book their appointment, but we welcome walk-ins too. For your convenience, we offer a range of appointment lengths.
