The Madison Medical Practice believe all people should be able to access quality and continuity of general practice care, delivered with respect and empathy for positive health outcomes.

The Madison Medical Practice St Ives has both female and male GPs daily, who have special interests in Child and Family, Men's & Women's Health and Aged Care management. The GP's will be complemented by Allied Health Care Professionals, including Physiotherapy, Psychology, Dietetic and Podiatry services.

The practice offers experienced registered nurses who provide many services including immunisations, travel vaccinations -including Yellow Fever; blood collection, spirometry, ECG’s, infusions (alcasta and iron), IV antibiotics, and routine baby heath checks (recorded in child’s blue book).

For added convenience, Australian Clinical Labs will handle all onsite pathology requests. There are also a range of other health services located nearby including dental, and pharmacy services.

Masks are required for all patient's with cold or flu symtpoms.

Telehealth/Video Conferencing

ONLY APPLIES TO EXISTING PATIENTS WHO HAVE BEEN SEEN IN-PERSON WITHIN 12 MONTHS BY A GP AT THE PRACTICE - IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN SEEN IN-PERSON WITHIN THIS TIME FRAME, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HAVE A MEDICARE REBATED CONSULTATION - ALTERNATIVELY PLEASE BOOK AN IN-PERSON CONSULTATION

Standard consult fees apply to all telehealth/video consults with a GP.

We are a mixed billing practice.

WEEKDAY CONSULTATIONS

All patients aged between 16 and 69 years (inclusive) will be charged privately for all weekday GP consultations.

A proportionate amount of this fee can be claimed back from Medicare after the consultation.

On weekdays, patients under the age of 16 and over 69, or those who present a valid pension or DVA card PRIOR to their consultation will be BULK BILLED for most GP consultations. Certain consultations may incur an out-of-pocket fee, which will be discussed during your consultation by your GP.

If you can no longer attend your general practitioner appointment, please cancel or reschedule through your confirmation email or HealthEngine app, or call our reception team. Please note a fee of $50.00 will apply if you cancel less than 2 hours prior to your appointment or fail to attend your appointment.

For physiotherapy, podiatry and dietitian consultations, a charge of up to 50% of the consult fee will apply if your appointment is cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours.

For all psychology consultations, cancellations within 2 business days will incur a fee 50% of the total consult charge. Cancellations within 1 business day will incur a fee 100% of the total consult charge.

SATURDAY CONSULTATIONS

All patients, irrespective of age, will be charged privately for all GP consultations. Scheduled immunisations and nursing appointments will be bulk billed. Please note, after-hours fees apply after 1pm.

Level B consultation (Standard): $110 Level C consultation Long appointment): $170 Level D consultation (Extended appointment): $210

Allied health professional consults, medical specialist consultations, surgical procedures, infusions, travel vaccines and wound care will attract out of pocket fees for ALL PATIENTS. Please speak to our friendly staff or your consulting practitioner to find out more information.
