At Top Health Medical Centre, we are here to keep your health in top condition. As we evolve into a MIXED BILLING practice starting in 2024, our goal remains to uphold the highest standards of care while managing increasing operational costs and inflation.

As of 2024, we will be non bulk-billing for the first consult of the year (ie gap payment required), with subsequent visits for the remaining calendar year to be bulk-billed (no out of pocket cost). Please note - this does not include Saturday where all consults are non bulk-billed nor new patients who wish to see Dr Jackson Chen or Dr Mark Hanley.

The cost of the first consult of the year will be:

• $90 for a standard consult (rebate $43.90 from Medicare)
• $130 for a long consult (with a rebate of $84.90 from Medicare)

All appointments on Saturday will be billed privately:

• $80 for a standard consult ( $43.90 rebate from medicare)
• $110 for a long consult ($84.90 rebate from medicare)

Our reception team will claim the rebate for you.

Bulk Billing is still provided on Monday to Friday consultations. Vaccination appointments with nurses without extra consultation with our doctors will be bulk billed.

Cancellation Policy:

To respect everyone’s schedules, a cancellation policy is in place. Please reschedule or cancel 24 hours before your appointment to avoid our late cancellation fee. This policy ensures we can continue to provide timely and effective care to all patients.

• $50 for a standard consult (15 minutes)
• $90 for a long consult (30 minutes)

Children's Vaccinations

Please give us a call if you wish to book your child in for their scheduled vaccinations (National Immunisation Program Schedule). Please do not book these immunisation appointments online, as we may need to check if the vaccines required are in stock.

Travel Vaccinations

Our clinic provides most travel vaccines, with the exception of the following:

• BCG (tuberculosis)
• Yellow fever
• Rabies
• Japanese encephalitis

For these vaccines, we recommend visiting a specialized travel health clinic.

IRON INFUSION

Iron Infusion appointments require a pre-payment of $70 and a long consult booking. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before booked appointment time. The option to reschedule is available up to 4 hours before scheduled appointment, however no-shows without notification will forfeit the pre-payment.

COVID-19 VACCINATION CLINIC (Moderna Bivalent and Pfizer new COVID vaccine)

We are currently running a Covid-19 vaccination clinic for Moderna and Pfizer updated COVID vaccine.

COVID-19 2023 Booster will be available to you if you have not had COVID or COVID booster in the last 6 months.

• adults aged 65 years and older are strongly recommended
• adults age 18-64, can have vaccination

As of 20/02/2023, Dr. Mark Hanley will charge private billing for all new patients. This means out-of-pocket cost for new patient consultations with the same fees as our Saturday private billing. Patients who haven't seen Dr. Hanley for a period of time may be categorised as inactive patients as per the Royal Australian College of General Practitioner's recommendation - these patients will be treated as new patients.
