Patients with Medicare cards (usually Australian residents) will have no out-of-pocket costs for standard appointments with Bulk Billing GPs in most cases, as it will be billed directly to Medicare.
BHC Medical Centre is an AGPAL Accredited, bulk billing general practice that provides high quality healthcare to you and your family. This is reflected through our strong focus on preventative health and our varied opening hours. BHC Medical Centre was established in 1929 as a solo family practice. In the 70’s, it was expanded to become a group practice and continued its traditional family practice with the name Lakemba Medical Centre. In 2000, the name was changed to BHC Medical centre which means Better Health Care Medical Centre.

As a bulk bulling practice, we offer bulk billing to all patients holding a valid Medicare card for all Medicare-eligible procedures. For patient who aren’t covered by Medicare, fees are $50.00 for a standard consultation on a weekday and $65.00 for a standard consultation on a weekend or public holiday.
Located in the heart of Lakemba we are easily accessible to residents of Lakemba and surrounding areas, such as Belfield, Greenacre, Wiley Park, Punchbowl, Roselands, Campsie, Yagoona, Belmore, Kingsgrove and Bankstown. We are close to public transport and there is a small amount of onsite parking along with street parking, for those who prefer to drive.
We are open 7 days a week, with after hours appointments from 9:00am-7:00pm on Mondays, 8:30am-7:00pm Tuesday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm on Saturdays & Sundays and 9:00am-1:00pm on Public Holidays.
