Bariatric Surgery

Bariatric (obesity) Surgery is surgery whose main aim is to bring a patient’s weight down to a safe range. The surgery changes the normal digestive process by decreasing absorption of nutrients and thereby reducing calorie intake. Some bariatric surgeons also perform some cosmetic surgical operations to remove fat such as abdominoplasty or brachioplasty.
