Welcome to SA Geriatrics, operating out of Flinders Private Hospital, where we specialise in healthcare to individuals over 65 years old. Dr Ashwin Shukla is an Australian trained Geriatrician, working with SA Geriatrics, who provides both public and private hospital services to the Southern Region of Adelaide, through the Flinders Private Hospital, Repatriation General Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre. 

Services include:

• Diagnosing and managing memory disorders and dementia
• Falls assessments and falls preventions strategies
• Managing complex and multiple comorbidities in the elderly
• Community Geriatrics – Nursing home visits & Home visits
• Managing Polypharmacy and medication optimisation
• Capacity Assessments (Decision making capacity in patients with Dementia)
• Frailty Assessments and management
• Perioperative and Ortho-Geriatric services

We are located in Flinders Private Hospital, close to public transport and car parking is available at a cost to the user, either at the front of the hospital, or in the multi-storey car park adjacent to the hospital, accessed from Flinders Drive. Bus services operate from the front entrance of the Flinders Medical Centre to the centre of the City of Adelaide, and to other major suburban centres.

Our location is ideal for residents of Bedford Park and surrounding areas, including Darlington, Brighton, Seacliff, Glenelg, Bellevue Heights, Blackwood, Happy Valley, Pasadena, Cumberland Park, Unley.

We are open 9am till 5pm, Monday to Friday.
