Dr Sherman Picardo

Dr Sherman Picardo is a consultant Gastroenterologist with an interest in the management of the Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. He graduated from the University of Western Australia and subsequently completed gastroenterology advanced training in Perth. He went on to complete fellowships in hepatology and inflammatory bowel disease at Royal Perth Hospital, followed by a clinical and research fellowship in inflammatory bowel disease at the University of Calgary, Canada.

Dr Picardo has a keen interest in medical research having completed a post-graduate masters degree in biomedical statistics and continues to be actively involved in clinical research with numerous publications in the management of inflammatory bowel disease. He has also completed specialist training in intestinal ultrasound and is a member of the International Bowel Ultrasound group.
