Dr Nick Kontorinis graduated from UWA and completed his gastroenterological training in Perth. He then completed fellowships at the Mt Sinai Hospital in New York in the fields of Hepatology and Liver Transplantation from 2002 to 2005.
Dr Kontorinis has appointments at Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) and St John of God Subiaco Hospital and is a visiting specialist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in the WA Liver Transplantation Service. He is actively involved in clinical research, medical student and post graduate training and regularly participates in national and international meetings. He recently returned from Madagascar where he did voluntary aid work with the Australian Defence Force Academy teaching endoscopy and treating complex GI and liver cases.
Dr Kontorini's areas of interest and expertise include:

- liver disease including viral hepatitis and liver transplantation
