Callum leads the Intestinal Failure Unit at Fiona Stanley and Fremantle Hospital, which manages patients with Short Bowel Syndrome and other serious nutritional problems. He works in the Centre for Inflammatory Bowel Diseases at Fremantle Hospital, which is moving to Fiona Stanley Hospital in early 2015.
He is the chair of the Morbidity and Mortality meetings at Fremantle Hospital, which oversee gastroenterology and endoscopy quality control.
Private Rooms:
Callum has just been appointed Chair of the Endoscopy Craft Group at St John of God Murdoch. The group overseas quality control and audit and is the body representing the endoscopists and gastroenterologists in the hospital.
In St John of God Murdoch he shares his rooms with two colorectal surgeons, Mr Nigel Barwood and Mr Greg Makin. This allows an integrated, collegiate approach to sometimes complex diseases such as Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis and allows prompt assessment and treatment of patients in the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.
Bulk Billed Clinics
He also works in Peel Health Campus and runs a research-orientated Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinic at the Institute for Immunology and Infectious Disease at Murdoch University where he is an Associate Professor. Both Peel Health Campus and Murdoch University are largely bulk-billed clinics.
Callum runs a bulk-billed Capsule Endoscopy service from the St John of God Hospital Rooms.
