Ben grew up in country New South Wales and then went on to study medicine, graduating from the University of Queensland. He worked in a variety of hospital roles in urban and rural locations before moving to Melbourne to focus on general practice training and going on to get his Fellowship.

Ben has a keen interest in all aspects of medicine, in particular chronic illnesses, mental health and men’s health. He also has a degree in Naturopathy, so is well placed to advise you on complementary and alternative medicines, including evidenced based practice and interactions with prescription medications.

Rod commenced practice in Gisborne in 1979. His major area of interest is in sports medicine. He was the Chief Medical Officer for Taekwondo Australia and also the MO for the World Junior Athletics team in Bulgaria in 1990.

Robert joined the team in 2010. He is a former medical educator at the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners training program and maintains a passion for teaching medical students.

Kasey grew up in the Macedon Ranges and has returned to become a GP for her community. She also works as a Medical Educator. Kasey strives to provide a holistic and empathetic approach to patient care.

Aneesa is from the UK and moved to Australia in 2009. She obtained her GP Fellowship in the UK and has also been awarded her GP Fellowship here in Australia as well.

She enjoys general practice and has an interest in women’s health. Aneesa is able to do Mirena coil insertions and other long acting reversible contraception. She has a keen interest in prevention and management of chronic disease in the community.

Sarah has joined our team as a GP registrar. She is in her final year of training to gain her Fellowship. She did her undergraduate degree at Monash University with honours. She won the Arthur Clark Prize in Paediatrics at Monash University. Sarah was also awarded the Southern Health Medical Academic Scholarship.

Sarah has had experience working in hospitals around Melbourne over the last few years. She also worked as a GP Registrar in Kyneton, before coming to our clinic. Sarah has also completed her Diploma in Child Health and also her Diploma of Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

Umair has been practising in the Macedon Ranges for many years now and has previously worked in the UK. Umair works full time as a Partner at Neal Street Medical Clinic and has helped establish the Clinic....

Umair deals with simple and complex cases in General Practice. He has enjoyed looking after families in the region for the last few years and hopes to continue doing that. He particularly enjoys the continuity of care that general practice offers.

Umair has his Fellowship in General Practice as well as being a GP Supervisor and will be involved in mentoring GP Registrars and medical students.

Kiri is a final year GP Registrar and has come to our clinic to finish her last year of training. She is hoping to gain her GP Fellowship in the next year. Kiri completed her undergraduate medical degree at Monash University.

She has previously worked at the Royal Women’s Hospital, Barwon Health and at the Alfred Hospital. She was previously working in Woodend prior to coming to our clinic.

Kiri is also in the process of completing her Diploma of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Kiri is looking forward to working in Gisborne.

Steve enjoys the diversity and challenges presented by all aspects of general practice. He performs minor surgical procedures and is involved in shared care obstetrics. Steve is a supervisor of both registrar doctors and medical students.

James commences practice on the 2nd of February 2016. James is completing his GP specialty training with us and we welcome him to the team. Having recently worked in Kyneton, James is familiar with the Macedon Ranges and enjoys all aspects of family health care.

Hormuz is completing his GP specialty training with us and we welcome him to the team. Hormuz is available every weekday except Mondays.
