Meridee enjoys the full diversity of general practice, babies to elderly, both men and women. She enjoys helping people develop and maintain mental and physical health, skin conditions, womens health (including insertion and removal of Implanon) and shared care obstetrics, chronic disease management including GP Management Plans and GP Mental Health care plans and travel medicine. She is married with two sons in their twenties. She rides her bike to work and loves gardening, reading and weekly oil painting lessons.

Dr Merilyn Gates graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1991. Her interests lie in general medicine, women’s health and antenatal shared care. For 19 years she worked with Dr Chris Apostolopoulos at Darebin Road Medical Clinic. Chris and Merilyn have recently moved their practice to Alphington Medical Centre. Merilyn sang with the Melbourne Chorale/ MSO Chorus for 10 years and loves opera. On occasion you may see her hacking away on the local golf course or enjoying a good frappe.

Dr Laith Gliana has been working in General Practice since 2009. He holds a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Prior to working in General Practice Dr Gliana had 10 years hospital experience, the bulk of which was at The Austin Hospital's Emergency Department. He also worked in psychiatry, paediatrics, geriatrics (aged care), neurology, intensive care medicine, orthopaedics and variety of other fields of medicine.

A 1979 Melbourne University Graduate with Honours. He has worked in General Practice since 1982. He established the Practice in 1982. He is interested in all aspects of General Practice and has particular specialised knowledge in Infectious Diseases, Travel Medicine Cardiovascular Disease, Men’s Health and Homelessness. The immediate past President of the Australian Medical Association (AMA) of Victoria, he was conferred as a fellow of the AMA in 2005.

Dr Bernadette Hess graduated from The University of Melbourne in 1982, working at St Vincent’s then the Western Hospital.
