Chris graduated from Monash University in 1986 after which he worked in Prince Henry’s hospital in 1987 and 1988 then moved to Dandenong and District Hospital in 1989. Chris then worked at Valewood Clinic from 1990-2001, after which he commenced work here at North Mitcham Clinic in 2002 and has been here since.

Dr Rita Mardes is of Greek background and has lived in Cyprus. She graduated from Monash University in 1996 and also has a degree in architecture from the University of Melbourne. She is a Fellow of RACGP. She has a special interest in women’s health, children’s health, and mental health, as well as general medicine. She enjoys travelling and working out at the gym.

She graduated in 1985 and is a Fellow of RACGP. She is originally from Baghdad and is fluent in Arabic. She has a wide range of experience in general medicine and has a special interest in women’s health and skin cancer checks

Andrew graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1985. He worked at a number of hospitals before starting work in General Practice in 1990. He started working at North Mitcham Clinic in 1996 taking over from Dr Paul Adrian.

Andrew also works at Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital caring for patients that are undergoing rehabilitation. He also has an interest in medical education and teaches Monash University Medical students. He is also involved in training aspiring General Practitioners that work in our practice.

Andrew has a family with three children and in his spare time...

Janet graduated from Monash University in 1973. She worked at a number of hospitals before starting a family. She worked in General Practice in Glen Waverley part time while her family was young. Janet moved to North Mitcham Clinic taking over from Dr Freda Wraight in 1992.

Janet is also a Supervisor of General Practice registrars and medical students.

Janet also works at Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital caring for patients undergoing rehabilitation following illness or surgery.

He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1996 and has been working as a GP for over 15 years. He has a special interest in men’s health, minor surgery, and mental health, as well as general medicine. Dr Ohis is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). He enjoys playing basketball and watching football.

Joel graduated from Monash University in 2007, after which he completed internship and residency in Eastern Health, including a rotation in ED at Bairnsdale Hospital. Joel’s time in hospitals included a mixture of general medicine, surgery, O&G and paediatric rotations. In 2011 Joel worked as a GP registrar at North Mitcham Clinic, then worked at two other clinics including a community health centre in Broadmeadows, before returning to North Mitcham Clinic in 2014 full time.

Joel also works at Donvale Rehab hospital helping people recover from surgery and injuries. There he enjoys doing minor skin procedures like mole removal, cryotherapy and abscess drainage. Joel also has interests in preventive health and general family medicine.

Joel is happily married and enjoys travelling. He loves exploring Asia and trying new foods....

Wendy graduated from Monash University in 1983 and has extensive experience in geriatric medicine and general practice. Wendy worked at Wickham Clinic for 15 years, where she built a strong patient base. Wendy began here at North Mitcham Clinic in 2013 when the two practices joined together.

Doctor Wong has worked in Doncaster East and Box Hill area for many years. He is a General Practitioner with special interest in Holistic medicine, minor surgery and the management of piles. He speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien in addition to English.

He studied in China and New Zealand and is a Fellow of RACGP. He is fluent in Mandarin. He has a special interest in dermatology and neurology as well as general practice. He enjoys gardening and playing table tennis.
