Sam graduated from the University of Cairo in 2000 with Bachelor of Dental Science (BDS).

He was initially drawn to dentistry after his own unpleasant experience as a kid in the dental chair, which actually made him think that “a dentist visit should be a better experience”.

Sam moved to Australia in 2010 and he absolutely loves living in Melbourne, and calls it “HOME” now. He brings to Vineyard Dental more than 16 years of extensive valuable experience in general dentistry which he gained in the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne and in multiple private practices in Melbourne. Rob graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2006 and worked in both private practice and within the Adelaide Dental Hospital special needs unit. In 2012 Rob moved to Melbourne to undertake further study through the University of Melbourne in the field of dental implants, obtaining a graduate diploma of clinical dentistry in 2013. Rob is a member of the Australian Society of Endodontics, the Australian Society of Periodontics, the Australian Osseointegration Society and the Australian Dental Association, and through these organisations and others, attends regular study group meetings and lectures.

Annie graduated from Beijing Medical University (Now Peking University Health Science Center), China in 1994 and registered in Australia as a dentist through Australian Dental Association in 2003.

Annie loves her job as a general dental surgeon. She has interests in nearly all areas of dentistry, especially cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics. As a mum of two, she has great patience to treat child patients.

Annie can speak fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Dr David Cao, founding principal of Hawthorn East Dental, obtained his Bachelor of Dental Science at University of Melbourne in 2004, after completing VCE at Melbourne Grammar School in 1999. He gained his experience working at Caring Dental Group, Malvern East Dental and Dental Perfection, before establishing his own practice.

Dr Cao is a caring and highly experienced dentist, with extensive experience in cosmetic dentistry and all aspects of general dentistry. He has particular interest in implantology and orthodontics.

Dr May Chan's passion in Dentistry begins at a tender age of 9 years old, when she had a traumatic experience knocking out her 2 front teeth and could see blood everywhere. She had since turned this scary experience into a passion to help people overcome their fear and achieve beautiful and healthy smiles.

Dr Chan has a strong interest in cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, and Invisalign. She is a certified Invisalign Provider and has completed advanced Invisalign training locally and overseas. Dr Chan completed his B.D.Sc. at the University of Western Australia, and continued with post-graduate studies completing his Grad Cert Dent at Adelaide Unviersity.
