He made first contact with chiropractic during his primary school years. He was constantly having lower limb pain after exercise which limited his sports activities. He was first told to use orthotics, which did not help. However, after seeing a chiropractor, he was able to enjoy sports in general without fear of severe pains afterwards, which sparked his interest into this profession.

Darren graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Science in Chiropractic and Bachelor of Chiropractic.

My first proper introduction to Chiropractic was when I began working as a CA in Kalgoorlie. Observing the positive changes in peoples’ lives, not only in terms of pain relief and improved function, and experiencing similar positive changes first hand through my own regular care, inspired me to look into becoming a Chiropractor myself.

Forward some years, four children and a move to the Fremantle area, and I was enrolled at Murdoch University in Chiropractic, graduating in 2009. A further year of part time study added a Post Graduate in Sports Chiropractic and the ICSSD (International Chiropractic Sports Science Diploma).

Dr. Victoria Shoemaker Young graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College with a Doctor of Chiropractic. She immediately moved to Perth, WA to begin her career.

After doing locums and associateships for a few years, she opened Shelley Chiropractic Health Centre. Dr. Young specialises in low-force chiropractic techniques in addition to doing traditional chiropractic adjustments. She is married to an Australian with whom she has three children.
