Overview

Dr Lena Reichardt was born and raised in India, but with Swedish parents. She commenced her career in nursing and graduated as a nurse in Sweden in 1977 and then went to London to study Midwifery. She worked as a Nurse / Midwife for the Leprosy Mission in Bhutan between 1981 to 1983. She met her Australian husband during that mission and after a few years, she obtained her Australian citizenship as well. They have two adult children.

Lena pursued to become a doctor and completed her Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Lund University in 1997 and started working in Australia subsequently. She also acquired a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and attained the fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). She holds the Australian Medical Council (AMC) as well.

Dr Reichardt is a proficient GP in Pennant Hills who enjoys helping patients with their health needs. She joined MC Family Medical Practice in 2002 and calls it her “home” and enjoys the supportive environment here. In her recent experience, she worked for 2 and a half years in Manali, Northern India and was the resident Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Paediatrician in a 55-bed hospital. She is also an accredited Shared Antenatal Care Provider.

Lena is also keenly interested in Men’s Health, Tropical Medicine, Mental Health and Dermatology. She skillfully performs minor procedures as well.

As a multilingual doctor, Dr Lena Reichardt speaks Hindi and Swedish in addition to English.
