Dr Sheela Prabhakar obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Madras, India, in 1995. Dr Prabhakar received training as a GP in the UK and became a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP), United Kingdom, in 2010. She received a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2013.

Sheela practiced in the UK for 9 years before relocating to Perth, Australia. She now serves as a GP in Currambine where areas of her keen interest include mental health, Diabetes and Women’s health.

Dr Prabhakar speaks Hindi and Tamil in addition to English. Her patients describe her as a very caring doctor who is also very competent and knowledgeable.
