Dr Minhaj Ali Shahid obtained his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Nishtar Medical College in 2004. He completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from the University of Punjab. He holds a membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow (MRCS). He received his certification from the Australian Medical Council (AMC) in 2015 and his fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2020.

Minhaj is bilingual, and in addition to English, he can speak a number of languages which include Urdu, Punjabi, Saraiki, Norwegian and Swedish
