Hemant graduated with an MBBS from the University of Western Australia in 2008 and he has worked all over WA, from Broome to Mandurah and in the major tertiary hospitals in Perth.

He brings a breadth of experience to general practice, including time in general and orthopaedic surgical units as well as many years of Emergency medicine experience covering all ages from infants to the elderly.

Hemant has a special interest in metabolic health and the treatment of obesity and diabetes. He is a proponent of the low carbohydrate diet for these conditions (as well as having practised this diet himself for the better part of the past two years).

Hemant is a firm believer of the principle of shared decision making where Doctor and Patient work together to develop an understanding of the problem and come up with a management plan that is most likely to work with the patient’s needs and lifestyle. He is a talented GP in Victoria Park who takes great pride in his work of helping patients with their health needs. In 2019, he pursued his FRACGP (Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners).
