Dr Bejoy Machumpurath graduated Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Melbourne in 2011. He has worked three years at Royal Melbourne Hospital and Monash Medical Centre, and returns to Eastbound as a full time general practitioner. He also teaches 2^nd year medical students at Monash University in a futile attempt at staying young.

Bejoy is interested in all areas of general practice, but is particularly interested in Paediatrics, having worked in Monash Paediatrics Emergency and completed a Diploma of Child Health. He also has a special interest in Diabetes, after working with the Endocrinology Unit in Royal Melbourne. Lastly, Bejoy is very keen on skin cancer medicine and surgery, and is currently completing further qualifications in this field.

Outside of work, Bejoy enjoys squash, and is an avid reader of fiction, history and behavioural economics. He lives with his wife Maya, who is a busy Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who tries valiantly to see him on alternate weekends…
