Overview

M.B.B.S. (WA) Dip (Obstetrics) R.A.C.O.G.

Dr Jenny Rogers has been working at Padbury since May 1985, when her daughter was 5 months old. Both her daughter and son now have children of their own. Consequently, looking after grandparents, expectant mothers and young families is of special interest. “I enjoy all aspects of being a Family Physician and feel confident to deal with any problems that present. I have developed extra experience in Osteoporosis, Women’s Health, Counselling and Mental Health, preventive medicine and lifestyle change to reduce the burden of chronic diseases. I feel privileged to care for older people and help manage the complexity of their medical and social situations. Dermatology, musculoskeletal problems and asthma/COPD have also been the focus of extra training over my time in general practice.”

Dr Jenny Rogers is qualified to insert IUDs including Mirenas as well as the Implanon contraceptive. She has performed removal of skin cancers and other minor procedures also.

“I am a surveyor on the Post Graduate Medical Council WA and was on the Osteoporosis Model of Care working party. I have been a volunteer board member of Meath Nursing Homes and Cyrenian House Alcohol and other drug treatment facility for over 10 years. I have recently been elected as the WA Director of the Australasian Menopause Society.”

Dr Jenny Rogers is an active member of the North Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club and perform patrols. I exercise and swim at the beach most mornings and am currently trying to improve my surf skills.

“I am the Vice President and play field hockey with University Associates having played at Masters level in state and Australian teams when my knees were in better shape. I also enjoy bush and coastal walking and single sculling with a group of friends.”

“I have watched Padbury Family Practice grow and change with our community for over 30 years. I have reaped the joy of care for many generations of the same families as well as being there as a constant in people’s lives as they come and go. I make no excuses for taking adequate time off to spend time with my family and recharge my batteries. It has allowed me to stay interested and caring – essentials for a good GP”.
