Dr Saumya Jayasekera gained her basic medical degree in Sri Lanka in 1992 and moved to Australia in 2004. She had gained a vast medical experience by working in various public hospitals in Sri Lanka and Australia till she moved to General practice in 2013.
She had completed her Diploma in Child Health in 2015 from Westmead Hospital NSW. She was awarded a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2019.
Dr Saumya is an experienced general practitioner and practices in all areas of general medicine, including Chronic Disease Management, Women’s Health, Child Health and Minor Surgical Procedures .
Her hobbies are cooking, gardening and travelling.
She is fluent in English and Sinhalese.
