Dr Amanbir Cheema

Dr Amanbir Cheema graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1994 and obtained a fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2013. He has over 21 years of GP experience, of which more than 16 years have been in the Bendigo region, serving the wider community with his thorough, compassionate and patient centred approach, ensuring his patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options clearly. He takes pride in delivering high quality, evidence based care and building long term relationships with his patient and the wider community.

He provides comprehensive family medical care with a particular focus on:

• skin health and skin cancer medicine - including full skin checks, mole & lesion assessment, and surgical management of skin cancers, cysts and other skin conditions.
• minor surgical procedures such as ingrown toenail resections and excision of benign legions.
• chronic disease management - including the prevention and long-term care of conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease.

Dr Amanbir Cheema is a multilingual doctor and speaks Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu in addition to English and remains committed to ongoing professional education to maintain best practice standards in skin cancer detection and management.

Beyond medicine, he enjoys watching footy and is a proud Geelong Cats supporter. In his spare time, he loves woodworking, gardening and discovering hidden cafes in remote towns. He also has a passion for travelling across Australia, exploring new regions and uncovering the beauty and character of local places.
