Overview
Dr Sabina Amin completed her Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Kashmir in 1995. She completed her specialist qualification in General Practice in Victoria. She has worked in both rural and metropolitan settings during this time.
Dr Amin also holds a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and a Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM). She has valuable experience in the aspect of family medicine. She obtained an Australian Medical Council Certificate in 1999 and is an enthusiastic GP in Point Cook.
Her clinical strengths include pregnancy care, aged care, children’s health, and mental health. As a multilingual professional, she is fluent in English, Urdu and Hindi. In 2010 she and her husband, Dr Fayaz Wani, set up the Boardwalk Health Medical and Skin Centre, where she has been working ever since.
Dr Sabina Amin specialises in pregnancy care and holds accreditation for doing Shared Care for all tertiary hospitals in Melbourne including the Geelong Hospital. This involves doing Antenatal and Post natal care for pregnant females.
Dr Amin balances work with busy family life raising 3 children. She is a keen reader and gardener as well.
