Overview
Dr Don Hettiarachchi graduated with MBBS in Sri Lanka and worked as a Medical Officer in Anaesthesiology and Critical Care. Since joining the Australian Health system, he worked in different locations in Australia including Royal Darwin Hospital and in Rural Queensland.
At Royal Darwin Hospital he spent most of his time at the Emergency Department and in General medicine, General Surgery , Oncology, Hematology, Geriatrics, Pediatrics. Dr Don completed his GP training in Rural Queensland where he worked as a senior Medical Officer for Queensland Health, before joining Pakenham Medical Clinic.
His main interests are in child Health, Skin cancer Medicine and Surgery, Emergency Medicine , Minor surgeries, Men’s and Women’s Health, Implanon insertion and removal, chronic health issues, and mental health.
He has also done following courses and certificates
Certificate member, Australasian College for Emergency Medicine, completed on 11/2018.
Professional Certificate in skin cancer Medicine.
Advanced Certificate in Skin cancer Medicine.
