- With the proposed legislation, from July 1 it will be illegal for patients to personally import nicotine (even with a script). Importing will need to be done either via the doctor, a pharmacist, or a licensed importer of nicotine.
- Dr Beaumont is therefore currently unable to provide new nicotine scripts until an import option has been established. This is anticipated to take 1-2 months.
- In the meantime, you are still able to book with Dr Beaumont to discuss the options, and to plan ahead for obtaining a nicotine script once importing has been organised.
- We understand this is a confusing and frustrating time for ex-smokers who require nicotine for e-cigarettes.
