Overview
Dr Jacobs has worked in Melton continuously since 1989 and knows the community well. He has committed himself to teaching and training over many years, and his achievements have been recognised with Supervisor (Educator) of the Year awards both nationally and within Victoria.
He is committed to be a “family doctor” and to continuity of care for patients, and he has cared for generations within the one family. He has had Paediatric training at the Royal Children’s Hospital in the late 1980’s and was part of the training programme for a period before choosing to do General Practice.
He has an interest in Paediatrics and has obtained his Diploma in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery from Queensland University so he can perform skin checks and minor surgery. He enjoys the challenge of managing patients with chronic diseases especially in the areas of heart disease, respiratory disease and diabetes.
Interests: General Practice, Musculoskeletal medicine, Chronic Disease Management, Children's Health, Excision of Skin Lesions, Ingrown Toenail Surgery, Skin Cancer Checks.

Directions and parking
We are located on the corner of Abbotsford and Flemington Roads, diagonally opposite The Royal Children's Hospital.
Entrance to our free on site car park is from Brougham Street. We are conveniently located within walking distance from a number of tram stops. These are serviced by tram routes 57, 58 and 59. Bus route 401 provides another handy option to access our clinic.
