Overview
Dr Riz is an Australia trained GP who obtained his medical degree from Monash University, Melbourne. He worked at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Lyell McEwin Hospital and gained extensive experience working in geriatric medicine, general medicine, respiratory and sleep unit, palliative care, rehabilitation, paediatrics, obstetric and gynaecology and emergency medicine.
He completed his GP training and become a fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016. His special interests include paediatrics, men’s health, chronic disease management, minor procedures (Implanon removal and insertion, Mirena removal, wedge resection and skin cancer removal) and preventive medicine.
He does iron infusion for patient with iron deficiency with or without anaemia. He can also organize therapeutic venesection for patient with hereditary hemochromatosis (and other conditions in discussion with patient’s treating specialist). Outside of medicine he enjoys badminton, indoor soccer, and hiking with his family.
